EO Mini Pro 2 Smart Charge Point Regulations with Enforcement Undertaking

EO Mini Pro 2 Smart Charge Point Regulations with Enforcement Undertaking

The Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021 came into force on 30 June 2022, and the EO Mini Pro 2 product range opted for the Enforcement Undertaking option as an available route within the legislation. However, Replenishh identified a legal constraint in the enforcement undertaking which stated that ANY reseller in the supply chain (including installers) needed to apply and be accepted for the enforcement undertaking. In the best interests of our customers at the time of identifying this clause and to ensure we as a reseller are following the regulations, Replenishh made the decision to remove the above-mentioned products from general sale back in July until a resolution could be found.

Subsequently, Replenishh and EO Charging have been working closely with the Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS) to come to a solution and Replenishh are pleased to announce we can now provide the following confirmations:

EO Mini Pro 2 from EO Charging:

  1. As the charge point will not be brought into compliance, the first Seller (EO Charging) and second seller (Replenishh) need to have undertakings in place. Both EO and Replenishh have received acceptance to the undertaking and can now resell the EO Mini Pro 2 (all socket & tethered variations).
  2. Replenishh OZEV approved installer customers do NOT need to apply for the enforcement undertaking and can now purchase direct from Replenishh, resell and install EO Mini Pro 2’s with the assurance that they will be compliant with the regulations.
  3. EO Charging and its partners (including Replenishh and installers) can continue to sell the EO Mini Pro 2 until 31st December 2022.
  4. Full range available for sale now: EO Mini Pro 2

The NEW EO Mini Pro 3 which will be fully compliant to the Smart Charge Regulations will be available via Replenishh soon!

Please note: Any products that are fully compliant to the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021 require the Statement of compliance. See our news article Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations for further details.
