Partnership will see Monta software available for purchase via Replenishh across the UK
29 April 2022 - Two electric vehicle (EV) startups have announced a new partnership aimed at simplifying the installation process for charge points across the UK.
EV charging platform, Monta, and Leading EV Charging Specialist Distributor, Replenishh, have teamed up to make EV installations more attractive to businesses looking to install their own charge points.
Replenishh will offer the Monta software solution to their customers for all OCPP 1.6 compatible Hardware solutions, which offers features such as reserved charging, virtual queueing, and energy load balancing. Monta will also provide backend customer support and a universal payment system.
The two companies say the B2B environment is an important yet currently untapped market key to helping open up new revenue opportunities for businesses while drastically improving the state of the UK’s EV infrastructure.
“EV car sales are skyrocketing, but we’re still way behind where we need to be in order to supply sustainable infrastructure,” said Alok Dubey, UK Country Manager at Monta. “The B2B market is a multi-million pound opportunity, but many business owners are put off by the EV installation process. By working with Replenishh, we’re aiming to make the installation and management of EV chargers as simple as possible and help more businesses get on board with the electric revolution.”
Jim Rugg, Head of Replenishh, said: “Our primary objective is to help improve the EV installation process for providers so that more can enjoy the benefits of going electric. The UK’s EV infrastructure desperately needs to improve from both a quantity and quality perspective, and finding partners that can provide both of these is critical.”
“We saw a lot of similarities with Monta very early on - a smart, easy-to-use, and responsive solution that helps simplify the EV charging process. Here at Replenishh, we have first-hand experience of implementing Monta’s market leading platform onto our multi-brand charging station infrastructure at our headquarters in Colchester, Essex – which combines multiple user group management for staff, visitors and public users. The added services they provide will also help attract more businesses to install EV chargers, and we’re really looking forward to working with Monta in the future.”
“They have great solutions that cover a lot of different scenarios, which fits perfect into our product portfolio,” says Mr Rugg.
Established in 2019, Replenishh has quickly become one of the UK’s leading distributors for electric vehicle charging solutions. As part of Rapid Electronics, the company’s aim is to simplify EV Charging installations and are an award winning business, awarded ‘EV Start-Up of the Year ’ at the 2020 Electric Vehicle Innovation & Excellence Awards (EVIES).
Available as a web-based app, Monta connects business owners with manufacturers and installers to help provide EV charge points. Manufacturers can use the app to find businesses interested in installing charge points, while business owners can track energy consumption, usage, and costs in real-time.
