The Fluke 170 series sets the benchmark for general purpose multimeters. They set the standard with a combination of precision, features, ease-of-use, safety and reliability. It offers true rms AC voltage and current readings, 6000-count resolution, min-max-average recording, as well as frequency and capacitance ranges. Despite all these and many other useful features, the 170 series remains easy to use.
The ergonomic case with integrated holster protects the meter in rough and tough environments. The case does not have to be opened to change the battery, as access to the battery is via an easy to open battery door. Similarly, calibration is carried out through the front panel. Smoothing mode allows filtering of rapidly changing inputs, and manual and auto ranging make this an extremely versatile multimeter.
